Of course I respect them. I respect everyone that shows up on race day. Considering seventy percent of the cars at my local track (Eddyville) on street night are mustangs how could I not respect them. A large part of their success is that their chassis work. Me on the other hand have one of the worst chassis for drag racing of any GM car. I make no excuses though I love the GTO so that’s what I’ve got to work with. I’ve got my work cut out for me with this chassis and the level of competition, but as long as I keep learning and improving and having fun that’s all I care about. This will be my second year racing after about 10 years away from it. When I raced back then mid 6’s was highly competitive now it takes low 5’s and I know at least one friend that should be in the 4’s this year on street night. Crazy times.
