Jammer -- T56, spec clutch, upgraded hydraulics, etc. Hopefully it will last for a little while before . Did very well with the H/C setup but now it will be getting hit with a bit more.

Look for leaks in ex manifold on glowing side. Leaks will cause manifold to glow when idling.

3 things will cause a glowing manifold.

A lean condition, excessively retarded spark, or excessive back pressure.

Since only one side is glowing, you can rule out the spark advance. That would make both sides glow.

look for leaks, then pull it apart and look for the exhaust plug

It only glows at the end of the run. Does not glow at idle! This is pretty normal when dynoing.

Good stuff -- unfortunately can't get to it tonight but tomorrow night I'm going to check it out. I'm going to pull the downpipe off and check the exhaust wheel. Then probably take the manifold off and check it out. I'll let you guys know what I find.

Thanks for all the info though -- FI is SO much more helpful then those NA boys.

Hmm, checked everything out last night and heres what I found.

1.) Turbo is good (spins freely, no bind, no funny noises -- check that one off).
2.) Took the waste gate apart and reassembled -- seems everything is in order there as well.
3.) Checked for exhaust leaks (yep found some -- looked like either I forgot to fully tighten down 2 header bolts or they backed out (likely I didn't tighten them). I got at least a half to 3/4 of a turn to tighten them up. So I figured this was the problem.
4.) Also, I had another fuel pressure gauge so I decided to throw that one on the rail just to see -- nope everything is good (58psi steady). BTW -- the guage is on the front of the passenger rail. The fuel enters from the back of the drivers rail and crosses over in the front and leaves out the back of the passenger side to the regulator, then back to the tank. So the pressure is good to that rail for sure which is the problem side.

So after all this I hooked up the EFIlive and checked everything out. Apparently the #1 cylinder is missfiring so hmmm -- well found that the upper o-ring on the injector had a little knick in it so it was leaking a tiny bit of fuel (easy fix).

Wasn't throwing any codes of meaning -- other than the missfire codes from that #1 cylinder and another code I forgot to turn off.

So I'm lost at the moment. I guess I'm going to try and swap out the injectors (side to side) in the morning and see if that moves the problem to the drivers side.

I've got my edit file if anyone wants to check it out and see if there is something screwy that I did.

Thanks for the help again guys.

all is good, but it is still doing it?

Turn the fuel psi dow to about 54, those injectors worked best for me with the duty cycle at 54psi.
did you check the oiling? 6 qts, moblie 1 15-50? Lined clean? no kincks?

Sorry guys, I'm actually out of town until next Friday so no working on the car till then.

I'm going to try swapping the injectors side to side, then if that doesn't give good results I'm going to throw the stock injectors in there (just at idle to test the system).

I'll get it figured out when I get back. I've still got to get my ypipe made before I can really get going on tunning it, etc. as the local law enforcement doesn't like it to much as is.

Also, the oil system is in good shape. No kinks in the line, no leaks, nothing. Just a whole lot of heat coming from the one side.
