IAT placement question for meth users I am adding meth to my car so I need to move my iat into the manifold from it's current spot on the charge pipe. I'm running a Pro Flo intake and the only place I see I can move it to is the port in the very back of the intake. My concern is that looking at the sensor, it appears to be designed so air flows through it. If I screw it in the back of the intake, the sensor would be directly facing the airflow, not perpendicular to it. I would imagine this will drastically reduce the air that runs through the sensor. Will it have an effect on the sensor function? Has anyone run one there? There is no room to put it pre throttle body but post meth nozzles unless I move the nozzles back around a 90. Am I concerned over nothing?
do you have a use for the IAT sensor? if not, just put a diode in there so the temp will just stay static and adjust the IAT Spark table accordingly. either zero out all the values or have a way to mock up a potetiometer aka 'pot' and have it wired into the IAT and have the pot in the cabin of the car and be able to adjust timing accordingly, either retard or advance.
