Default PCV routing question

I'm putting twin 66 garrets on my lq4 . i. Thought about putting a catch can on it , but why shouldn't I just weld bungs on the exhaust and run my -10 lines from valve covers to the exhaust . instead of a catch can . ?

I don't see why not.
Is running a vacuum pump to a breather and venting to atmosphere a better WTG? .

As long as the exhaust is free flowing it should work.
Those types of evac systems are typically used with open headers with lots of flow velocity so restrictive exhaust systems can cause issues others wise.

You have to use a valve like seen in the pic below, But they don't work well with full exhaust, They do work ok with flowing race style mufflers dumped before the axle.
