To Stroke, or Not to Stroke?
Texas Speed recommended me some pistons and rods, so I ran the parts by my shop and let them know my goal of 800rwhp. My shop suggested that instead, I should upgrade the entire rotating assembly and increase displacement to 393 or 395, because I could pick up a lot more power with less strain on the ProCharger drive. I've done a lot of reading here and see many suggest not to go past 383, but I'm open to upgrading the entire rotating assembly.
So my question: Would you recommend I:
1. Upgrade just the pistons and rods, keep the stock crankshaft and see how much boost I can run (not sure if I can hit 800rwhp this way)
2. Upgrade the entire rotating assembly, increase displacement (383 or 393?) and increase boost until I hit my goal of 800rwhp.
