Thanks for sharing Ron. 600+ miles (1000km) and 7 passes sounds similar to the OP. Debris in passages that takes out bearing(s).

Lesson learned!

I talked to an engine builder a while back and he thought they went above and beyond to make sure the blocks were clean until they got a new ultrasonic washer. The company that installed it took one of their clean blocks and washed it again. He said there was so much junk in the filter that he swore they purposely put it in there with the block lol.
I picked up a used renegade hot water/high pressure washer for $300 delivered to my door, It works great but thinking about selling it because I don't use it much and it takes up so much space.
