Default Ruined bearings. Why?

2000 5.3L. Twin GT35’s What happened to these bearings. Rod bearing then main bearing. There is no bluing of journals like from oil starvation. We’re they overloaded ? 12.5psi boost. 15 deg timing

Just my unprofessional opinion....Oil starvation + trash damage, Possibly detonation.
Did you have any signs of detonation? Have you looked at the pistons?
You won't always see bluing, Bluing is usually the result of running the engine that's already damaged longer than needed or failure at sustained high rpm.

no detonation. Have looked at pistons. Pretty conservative timing.

thays what I thought at first. But there is nothing embedded in the bearings like you get with crap going through, it really does not look like that in person, and only me works on this and I’m super careful about not getting **** into the engine.

no loss per data log. Oil level is fine but it a Holley pan and doesn’t hold a ton.

What does the crank look like? Did you measure the clearance on the bearings while you had it apart? Just because they looked good doesn't mean the clearances weren't too large.

Stock bearings, Even re used them after bending 2 rods.

It looks like the bearing had either trash go through it or the bearings where beat out of it.

Be curious to see if the crank is straight or bent.

ya I think it’s been beat. Broke the oil film down. I was thinking of 15w40 next engine. Pretty sure nothing went through it. Ya some people have good luck with junkyard turbo builds. I didn’t. I ran it NA for three years first.

I’m not too sure never had it on a dyno. But prob around 600tire. Pistons and plugs all look mint. Actually have some tight piston pins too. Not sure why there?

nope.....it has definitely been starved of oil.

Although you seem to imply not all the bearings are like this ?
