Gen3 SBE strength
I'm hoping to get a year out of my gen 3 SBE, I have the parts and fuel system to run high 7s but the SBE that I got for $100 is the weak link.
I am planning to build another iron 5.3, probably end up working with Summit and doing some articles and coverage with them.

The Gen 3 stuff will handle your 550 rwhp goal, no problem.
Tune, good fuel and good fuel system, proper cooling system, resonable IAT, and let off the throttle when it spins on the street before it abruptly regains traction...should live awhile.
