Much better. I'd probably pull 1 degree and leave it there.

I'd pull a degree from 4000 and up and run it to redline/max boost and reassess.

It's too hot for a street tune and pump gas IMO. You don't wan the heat into the 2nd thread at all and you don't want it into the bend. 1/4 to halfway down the strap is about perfect IMO. If you had super consistent RACE fuel in it, that's about a "perfect" max power heat range for a max effort setup. Is that a 7 plug? May get some resisted boots and try an 8 heat range as well. Or go the expensive route and run A TR8IX. (at about 9$ a plug though it's not a great route for tuning) I'd try 11* with the the BR7's and get another read. If it looks good swap out to the TR8IX's or run a resistor boot and the cheap "8" Heat range plug. I tune on the 7's with 1/8th mile pulls, then drop in the resisted 8 iridium plugs when done and do 1/4 pulls at the track.

I’d pull a degree out of that as well on pump gas. Don’t push pump gas in a street car to the limit. Personally I’d keep the br7ef and just take out a little timing.

Here is one I pulled yesterday. Ethanol with low 11’s AFR on gas scale 17 degrees peak timing. 15 psi and 10.6 to 1 static compression.

To give you some more perspective, I ran this weekend on the track (sprinkling rain unfortunately) and had mine at 12* @ 17psi on 90 octane with 40/60 meth/water and I had to pull it back to 10* to be safe once I was tuning on the track. 12* worked on the street but all it took was a little more tire hook than normal and all of a sudden it didn't like 12* anymore...

Yep and the same concept applies to higher iat’s, more weight in the car, and higher gears. What is on the ragged edge in 3rd gear might be detonating in 4th gear for example.

yes the dyno or street hits really don't replicate a full track pass. it is really hard to find a safe place to run a good running car to 140 mph to do the same 3 gear testing. full boost shifting can also cause slight boost spikes as the engine rpm pulls down on a shift. if I run a car on the dyno I whould pull 2 degrees timing and add a little fuel for a track pass then work back into the tune once I got some runs in.

yeah for sure, will make sure i try some 5th gear pulls aswell, even 6th, but would need a airport runway lol

yeah understand, the dyno doesnt give the effect of a hill or the car having to punch through the air at higher speeds

a good dyno can load the car harder than any road, and hold it there.

Make sure you're at least 500rpm above peak tq if you looking to find max timing (MBT) while monitoring for detonation.
