Lots of talent great parts and knowledge went into that build, I just wish i had the funds to buy a TKM motor for my new build.

Whos the guy that wants a participation trophy? Considering that dyno claimed a rod/piston T4 83mm made 1200+hp/1400+tq I don't have much faith in it being terribly accurate, but whatever makes them feel better.

They actually joked about the dyno vs track thing toward the end of the video.

I’m not 100 percent sure, but I think they’ve been 4.30’s in the 1/8th.

I don’t have the time to watch very many of his videos and always fast forward to the part I want to see. With that said he seems to do very little if any of the work.

Is this the same guy with the white Camaro that breaks every time it comes to the track?

I don't know anything about the guy. It seems common the most popular youtube channels are douche's. I don't know if "fame" makes them that way or the "douche's" have a knack for being successful on youtube. In this case it's worth mentioning that all of the fastest guys I know break more often then those of us that are slow...lol. I know Stevie fast said "the lower the ET the more work it is period" I believe that to be true.

I totally agree on the streetspeed guy he literally doesn't know how to work on anything and provides nothing educational. He will not go to the track and only roll races guys he knows he can beat with cars that he dropped off at a shop and let them do their thing to with a blank check while having zero input on the combo.

On the other hand he's getting rich without having to work a day job while I work over time in a factory every week just to have extra money for this hobby. So maybe we are the dummies?

I will mention a couple channels I like... thebulletws6 is a likeable guy and even though he's a ford guy Turbojohn provides a lot of good info on suspension setup, tuning, and drag racing in general. He does his own work and runs mid 4's on a low budget.

One day I figured out about half the car channels after going down a youtube rabbit hole of suggested videos. Basically, most of the channels you see with way more budget than the production value suggests they have are trust fund kids or dudes who made a bunch of money elsewhere and do the car thing trying to be the next Chip Foose, or GasMonkey gig. Same thing goes for a lot of the "influencers" on social media where you wonder how the **** they have 7 figures of spending cash or credit lines to travel first class and drive luxury cars or build turbo cars with 6 figure budgets. Then they fade away and stop making content and you wonder what happened....most of them are "investing" a lot of personal money into building a performance shop of some kind and the videos are just this generations infomercials. Rich people trying to change their hobbies into side businesses is all it is. That's why you rarely see them actually making/welding/fabricating/assembling the cars. Because the gig is that they are a shop owner and they hire a mechanic and a fabricator, etc...So many youtube channels going for the clickbait, waste 20min talking about nothing only to show me something i probably already knew or saw elsewhere done better that the Discovery channel probably studies and replicates them by now.

I do enjoy Cleetus's videos. Those guys are living the dream, and having fun at it. They do/say some comical stuff that just puts me in a better mood. I really enjoyed the evolution of ruby much more than leroy.....I didnt/dont care much for leroy. I used to enjoy fasterproms but they started building weird vehicles that are constantly breaking, gets old. Keep it simple in my opinion. And Sloppy mechanics used to be my favorite but he totally changed what he used to do and although he's pretty funny dude, says how he feels and gets some cool ****...its just not the same.
