Just odd my pump didn't seem to go as far as others power wise running a standard return at the rail system. Was only around 55psi total on the dyno and FP was falling at 12lbs of boost near redline. Seemed odd for E60ish and 560whp. Should only require about 25% richer mixtures. 720+ crank should be attainable and I've seen 1400whp on duals in parallel. I assumed my funky dead head setup was the culprit.

Not rear mounted. You just cut the hard lines down by the starter area and mount to frame there. Easy peasey.

so you mount it up front and have a long feed and return line to from the tank to the regulator?

Yes, no point in replacing the hard lines more than you need. I have seen several corvette regulator cars going this route. I snapped you a pic. Excuse the wires. I was testing the engine before I drop the body back on this weekend.

FPR mounted on frame rail.

single feed and return to outlet of corvette regulator using quick disconnect and added a fuel pressure sender for term x.

hard rails to 6AN on the 3/8 side and 1/4 inch iirc on the return side.

Ah I see what you did. How is the hard line sealing to the AN line with just 1 hose clamp? did you form a barb on it? Also is that the stock 1/4" return line and how is is it holding regulator pressure? Did you verify fuel pressure with a gauge on the rail?

I was thinking the 1/4" return would be too small so I was trying to Omit it completely. Install the filter/reg at the rear frame rail next to the tank (rear quarter side) and that way my feed and return line right off the 82 sending unit will be short like 2-2.5ft. Then run a single -6an PTFE up using the OEM hard line as a anchor point for zip ties and run that single line all the way up. The PTFE line is usually much thinner than normal braided line like you have so I should be able to squeeze it between the frame and body or I could run it down and use hose clamps. My original hard lines look pretty good except right around the rear pass seat area/corner of the frame where the lines are tucked into the frame and make a bunch of crazy bends. There the lines are pretty rusted and I don't want to chance it.

My experience with normal braided hose has not been very good. Seems that it stinks to high heavens with gas permeation and you can't see when the rubber collapses. I either run synthetic rubber hose (for short runs) or PTFE or Hard line which seems to work really well and no smell. I plan to run 3/8" fragola push lock synthetic rubber from the tank sender feed to the regulator (AN fittings on the regulator side and use the OEM barb on the sender with EFI hose clamps). Then run dayco standard 50psi rated fuel hose for the return on the regulator (AN fitting) to Barb on the sender with EFI clamps. Then run the PTFE from the regulator all the way up to the front pass fuel rail (behind the tensioner) with a 90 degree right into the rail. Rear of rails will have a short crossover with synthetic rubber pushlock hose. Then I will plug the driver front to make it a dead head setup. I should have more than enough PTFE to make a new crossover but might need to pick up another 90 degree. I got 16ft of hose and I think I will only need about 12-13ft or so.

No problems so far, but again I've only ran the car with the body off, but I know several others doing exactly this. With a stock + cam motor I think itll be fine or easy to change later if I need relocate or replace lines. My other car is E85 and obviously I'm not planning to run that here.

Ended up mounting the regulator/filter by the tank So my mines are all new and I can bypass the 1/4” return completely. tank has been retrofitted with 255 pump. I also got the tank installed as of last night as I have been looking for a decent anti noise kit for the tank but all the reviews say they all suck and are thin. Guys make their own but I realized I had a ton of leftover tool drawer rubber Matt left over (scrap) so I cut it down and used weatherstripping adhesive to glue it down. All done and I even plumbed the PTFE line right along the stock hard line right up to the fuel rail. Need to get some 5/16” hose for the short return and some fittings to finish the rails. Anyone try the amazon evil energy PTFE hose before? Stuff cuts and assembles real nice compared to the much more expensive fragola stuff I have used in the past. Hose looks good too!
