Vortech T Trim vs. YS or YSI
I currently have a 94Z with a 396, AFR heads, and a Vortech T Trim with TH 400 tranny. Car made 629 rwhp and 696 tq. I was thinking of going to a YS or YSI trim blower with a little bigger cam to help. What are the advantages/disadvantages to going to the bigger blower. Also any suggestions on which one to go with. I wanting to make 700rwhp on 100 octane.

A YS-trim is going to be lazier on the bottom end vs. the t-trim, and the YSi will be lazer than the YS-trim. A buddy of mine made 780 RWHP with 15 pounds of boost from a YS-trim on a 347" mustang on 100 octane with no problems. On a 396 you should be able to do it on pump gas.

Should make 600rwhp here with an S-Trim and final tuning.
I think the T-Trim would be good for 675rwhp.
Flows 20% - 200cfm more.
