Default ls3 intake swap

decided to give it a try . i removed my very nice looking but useless sheet metal intake on my turbo nova and swap to a l92 truck intake with my 102 t.b. on it . looking for some faster spool better lowend power. and just a better running car. if the snow melt im going to try and get some track runs on it. anyone else ever go back to a factory intake after being aftermarket?

I've been told to go to stock by my tuner (Los Vasquez) several times. I too have a china sheet metal intake on my set up. He said him and a few other people he works with have gone from the short runner high rpm style intakes and factory and picked up a bunch in the 60' and then of course overall because of the improved power and response down low. I probably would have done it already but my return lines and running in the space under the intake and I really don't want to have to redo a significant portion of my fuel system just to swap the intake. I also had my car on the dyno back in April and it had a table top power curve. It made over 1000 rwhp from just over 5k rpm all the way to 7200 when I let out of it. So, I'm not super concerned with low end power currently. I have a relatively small cam in my 388 so I feel like that is making up for the intake.
