What is useless?

What is useless? well as I read more into FI setups for f-bodies im wonderind what parts are useless. I.E. are the ram air hoods on the WS6 and SS useless because of things changing? and what about air lids, because by the looks of things that gets replaced too.

Well the effects of a WS6 or SS hood are mainly cosmetic anyways. You get a little bit of cooler air coming in, which is never a bad thing. But you can get the same power by adding a CAI to a non-ram air car.
Yes, if you go with a vortech it uses a stock lid and with the ATI it replaces the airboxes all together

Air lid you cant use, under drive pulley is useless (unless its a turbo). Supercharger you need decent headers and turbo you dont. Buying a ram air setup like a FTRA would be useless also with FI.

Hmmm what about an FIPK??? can that be used or does Vortech kit come with an intake assembly allready??
