Default Advance cam a few degrees or swap it?

Need some opinions / advice here.
Engine and cam specs above.
Car: 1999 C5 with rear mount TT setup.

Im debating advancing the cam to a total of 6 degrees to try and get some more low end out of it. Or changing the cam out for a different one completely.

I daily drive the car into work pretty often and below 3,000rpms its lost a noticeable amount of power between the stock ls1 cam and the new cam. (specs above)

The turbos hit hard around 3,500 and it will pull past where I usually shift at 6500 when beating on it.

It definitely has more power over the stock cam up top but I don't track the car or roll race often enough to sacrifice so much down low in a car that i daily drve pretty often.

so im willing to sacrifice a little top end and shift at 6,000 if thats what its going to take.

How much would you expect advancing the cam and setting it at 6 degrees advance, with the proper tools would shift the power band towards the lower RPMs?

300rpm sooner? 500? 1000??

If it can move 500 or more towards the low end lll re-degree it and keep it.. it sounds nasty and is already in the engine.

But if im dreaming about moving the power band 500 or more RPMs towards the low end by just advancing the cam then its got to go. If thats the case, which cam would you recommend replacing it with?

More build info: Rear mount TT setup that has a good bit of back pressure. last dynoed at 670whp on 13psi. (I see 15 / 16psi on the street regularly)
49.5mm compressor / .48 A/R turbine T3/T4 hybrid turbos.
(may swap them for slightly bigger ones and shoot for 800ish whp some day)

Dont get a cam setup for 7k+ and shift it at 6500 would be my advice. A cam that's setup for top end performance is going to give up a lot down low. That's just the nature of it. If you preferred your LS1 cam over the new one. I'd look into a different grind. There something with high lift and lowish duration on a tight LSA. Texas speed has several of these.

Something like this on the optional 110 would likely give you another 80+hp over the LS1 cam, but follow roughly the same power curve.

https://www.texas-speed.com/p-8558-t...-camshaft.aspx (yes, I know you don't have a 5.3.) The tight LSA really makes them snappy.

Yeah, 1,400 to 6,000 range sounds way better than what I've got now.

No concerns with it being a remote mount vs front mount setup? I bought the one i have now beacuse it was recommended for the remote mount twins and higher back pressure usually seen with this kind of setup.

No. That's has more to do with overlap and reversion. Your current cam has 9* of overlap @ .050. The one I linked has -2* on a 110LSA. So the smaller cam would do better with higher BP than what you have installed now.

That said I think what you have now would make more power and run better track times if you revved it out to 7500. If it's a street car you'd like to baby RPM wise and have "low end", I think you need a smaller cam.

Also, a lot of the low end grunt comes from the tune. If you don't have the ignition map setup properly, it can feel like a dog no matter what.

Yeah, ill probably be going with a smaller cam.
I'm sure some bigger turbos would make it fun but im limited to about 6,500rpms with what I got now.

I've spent alot of time tuning the lower end ignition timing, it just doesn't want to make power below 3,000rpms or so.
