Intercooler choices I've changed directions on my build and I'm now the proud owner of a ProCharger D-1X thanks to Bob @ Brute Speed. I'm trying to find if anyone knows of a good intercooler brand other than ProCharger? The one from ProCharger is a vertical style with the inlet on top from one side and the outlet on the bottom on the other. It's rated at 950hp.
It's also over $1000. This is perfect for the fit on my car just a bit pricey. Bottom line is that my car is a street and strip car. No road racing.so it's not like it will be full throttle for more than 15 seconds tops.
This car will be strictly a pump gas 93 octane and meth injection. E85 is not an option.
The ATI part #ATIA1003A-002 is the one recommended by Bob.
I have enough room for 29"wide,18"high and 4" thick. Also 3" inlet and outlet. The staggered inlet and outlet are also preferred.
I did find a Treadstone part #TRV250 that is similar in size and rated for 1000hp for $500.
Anyone using either of these I would like your thoughts on the quality and how well they perform.
