Been two years since I ran the Nova
Noted the oil was green.
Turns out it was still on the break-in oil.
This is what happens when the season is disrupted by Covid last year.
On short notice, I put in Valvoline Synthetic 5W-40
Got a street car race Sat. Same track. I’ll be running in the heads up 8.90 class. Pro Tree.
Should be interesting with a foot brake car.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
While I've never been to Woodburn I've always heard nothing but good things from other guys that have up here in Washington.
I'm a little puzzled though.
I ran the exact same boost settings, and exact same tune when I ran 8.76@156.5.
The air was good when I did that.
These latest runs had a better 60ft. 1.34 vs 1.38
But I'm 3 mph slower, both 1/8 and 1/4. And a little over a tenth slower.
Changes are HV/HP oil pump, looser main bearing clearances, and a better oil pan. I am running 5W-40 oil vs 10W-30 before.
I guess I'll see what happens on a different day.
FWIW, 18psi in low gear, jumps to 24psi 2nd and third. I was leaving at 3100 rpm and 5lbs where before I was at 3300 rpm and 10lbs.
It was quite difficult to build boost on the .400 pro tree.
