im running the megasquirt goldbox. i have gotten used to the megasquirt tuning. i have used terminator x a couple times but personally like the ms better . the real time tuning is easy to get used to and i love the triggered data logging. anytime im over 80%throtle it logs for 15 seconds.

I also am using the gold box and like it better than the holley system. We should compare notes sometime Mike 😀

Cut the filter, even though I didn’t want to. It was clean.
Noted the oil was green.
Turns out it was still on the break-in oil.
This is what happens when the season is disrupted by Covid last year.

On short notice, I put in Valvoline Synthetic 5W-40

Got a street car race Sat. Same track. I’ll be running in the heads up 8.90 class. Pro Tree.

Should be interesting with a foot brake car.

Wish me luck!

Weather will be mid 60’s.

Ran 8.91@153 in the final.
The rest were all trailered race cars, I drove mine. 😊

I don't think I've ever seen your Nova before Ron. Beautiful clean car and a very nice pass.

While I've never been to Woodburn I've always heard nothing but good things from other guys that have up here in Washington.

Appreciate the comments guys.

I'm a little puzzled though.
I ran the exact same boost settings, and exact same tune when I ran 8.76@156.5.
The air was good when I did that.
These latest runs had a better 60ft. 1.34 vs 1.38
But I'm 3 mph slower, both 1/8 and 1/4. And a little over a tenth slower.

Changes are HV/HP oil pump, looser main bearing clearances, and a better oil pan. I am running 5W-40 oil vs 10W-30 before.

I guess I'll see what happens on a different day.

FWIW, 18psi in low gear, jumps to 24psi 2nd and third. I was leaving at 3100 rpm and 5lbs where before I was at 3300 rpm and 10lbs.
It was quite difficult to build boost on the .400 pro tree.

Turbo John is S476, Billet wheel, 87mm turbine 1.10 AR T6

Unless the DA is way different, sounds like on the 8.7 pass you leave on more boost and the car got into all it's power a lot quicker.
