Default 408/v7 ysi

Hello, first off, very new to the ls world. Left the coyote world and joined the dark side.

recently picked up a 05 c6, has a tsp 408 stroker, 243 heads, cam(can’t remember specs), fuel system, built 4l65e, a&a v7 ysi blower on 10-12 psi believe the guy said, maybe a 3.8 pulley?

im trying to figure out what to expect out of the car. Pistons are cp forged -11cc dish, tsp h beam rods,

will be running e85 on final tune

Looks like CP has a piston p/n 6598 that is -13cc/4.030 bore/4.000 stroke with 64cc head nets 10.3 compression so that gets ya an idea with 243’s.

I’d assume the cam is blower friendly.

A YSI is a great blower and by your current pulley I’d say you have some head room even assuming 10% over on the crank.

I’d hope at least a 130lb injector being used if going to go run E with a big single or multiple pumps.

What to expect is that it appears you have a very capable combo. IF everything supports what you have for a power plant you could easily have a 8-900whp combo (giving the blower all the rpm or more). That kind of power in a C6 is more than capable of a 9sec slip.

id1300 injectors
aeromotive a1000 pump with braided lines

If I could get it to 9, I’d be happy.

a&a ysi, has the secondary drive on it as well, and I believe it is the 10%. I’m just trying to run with some 150-160mph cars lol

Saw ya posted on CF, you will get some good input over there as a lot of them use the YSI. You will mostly certainly have to pulley down to get that type of MPH but sounds like you have a sound setup to do so.

Sounds like a solid set up for sure. I would ditch that A1000 for big single, or multiple 450's, and pulley down. The YSI is well proven to 1000 rwhp and with some minor tweaks I think you have a set up to handle it, or something very close.

Magnafuel 4303 or an Aeromotive brushless 3.5gpm for a big single. I've been told the Aeromotive has a pretty good amp draw so make sure wiring is up to the task. I like what the boys did on the Motion Raceworks Nova in that the he has the pump speed controlled at like half speed for normal driving conditions and then hit the button to give it all the flow.

I honestly am not a fuel pump guru. I just know that an A1000 is old and outdated and will definitely be a liming factor for you. You can easily google and find what guys have made with certain pumps on E85. I would just recommend you give yourself plenty of headroom. Fuel pump is not a place to skimp with boost. IF you think you want 850 rwhp I would design a fuel system for 1000 or 1200 rwhp. If you don't want to research yourself call a good shop like Motion Raceworks and talk thru your goals and plan with them, they will easily tell you what you need or what to do. You can then purchase through them as well.
