On3 turbo kit boost controller recommendations
That being said, I run a Turbosmart E-Boost Street40. (It can be bought on Amazon for roughly $320)

My favorite feature is having two easily accessible boost levels. Changed with either a button push, or an external button/switch, depending on how you have it set up.
I have it set to be changed INTERNALLY most of the time. That means a simple push of 1 button, changes it from "Boost Group 1" (or BG-1), to "Boost Group 2" (BG-2). I usually have BG-1 set at wastegate (4# on my car), or slightly above, and have BG-2 at 15-20psi.
I bracket race my car, so on race days, I change the "Boost Group" switching from INTERNAL, to EXTERNAL. That way, it changes (instantly) via an external push button...Like that, it's used as a "Scramble" button...
Besides the links above, there's quite a few YouTube videos of Turbosmart showing how to set up the controller.
I like mine enough that even if I gave up on using HPTuners to tune my car with, and jumped on the Holley Terminator X train...I'd still keep & use this boost controller.
p.s. I also have a 2000 WS6, and the controller is mounted where the little compartment was, at bottom of dash, in the center.
Here's a good view of it, while I was testing the 2 step/new downpipe. As you can see, it's bright LED, very easy to read... negative numbers are VACUUM, positive numbers, obviously, are boost.
