That response you're seeking can be had, but like N/A engines, you have to treat it as a 'System'. Your cubic inch, compression ratio, cam choice, torque converter choice, fuel choice, gearing, turbo, vehicle weight and tune need to be considered as a whole for optimum results. You can do like I did, wasting money, time, hours and hours of fabricating hotsides, cold sides, several different turbos trying to get murderous power. Right now my 315 drag radials spin in all 3 gears (TH350) anyway.
But if you like working on your car , just dive in with something and try it. There's no 'right' answer.
