l77 cam and boost limitations?
I recently picked up a low mile l77 out of a 2014 ppv caprice long block through some trading and I think I'd like to use it to get my feet wet with a turbo setup. original plans were to build a forged motor which will still happen but I'm new to turbos and dont want to turn a good motor to scrap because of a lack of experience. I am thinking of leaving the bottom end stock other than gapping rings, dod delete, cam swap for boost, ls9 head gaskets and arp bolts or studs. reusing the 823 heads after a spring swap and a clean up. the pistons are flat tops and I believe the rods are the gen IV's, my question is what are the cam limitations as far as specs go with piston to valve clearence. also what are the limitations power wise as far as block strength? I have a pair of borg warner s362s, a holley mid ram and a shearer a2w inner cooler I plan on using and id like to use the terminator max for tuning. any info would be much appreciated, thanks
