I know folks running Bischoff engines, mostly class cars, he's knowledgeable for sure.

This is why I don't promote any engine shops, because if the thread runs long enough someone will reference a bad experience.

All I know is that I won't commision an engine from someone who can't dyno it before I pick it up.

Engine dyno was the best $$$ spent as I would have been trying to figure out issues after the entire setup was in the car and on the rollers for tuning.

Thompson has pretty good pricing, especially on their "engine of the month" deals. But quality seems very suspect given the posts already. I've looked at a lot of Boworski stuff and it seems nice but also very much on the higher end of things cost wise. I had CNC Motorsports in SD build by LSNext 388 and although it wasn't perfect, overall it has been solid for me and I'm very happy with what I paid. They have a good website and very solid pricing. May be something to at least look into.

I spent a year deciding who I should buy a short block from. I asked a lot of questions here, elsewhere, and of builders directly.

I ended up going with TSP. The volume of motors they sell without many complaints is amazing. Usually high volume builders are low quality, but two years later and 20 psi of boost and still no issues.

This was a lower end build Ls3 block with some budget forged rods/pistons.

TSP is all Cleetus McFarland runs and seeing how he treats its stuff and well it holds up, I'd buy from TSP.

Not sure where you are located, but FastTimes is local to me as well as probably 10 others that my friends have used.

For this upcoming engine build of mine, was coming down to 3 different shops, won't name the other two, and Graham has a really good reputation. The other two do as well, but one of them has a rep for taking way longer than was discussed so I don't want to deal with that. The other is really small, a side gig really, and that does not fit with the promoting we'll be doing.

Hehe actually I think their sticker looks kind of dated.

I just want to affiliate with someone who I think will be professional, put the engine on the dyno, and is competent. And I don't want to wait 6 months.

I better not see a sticker on the valve cover next summer at the grove! Funny story about Borowski…..(not the current guys but Ted). I watched him do a 5 gear burnout at a car show one time IN REVERSE!! Car had a lenco and he never switched the reverser. Surprised he didn’t kill somebody. We laughed our asses off.

LOL, I've seen a few folks leave a car in reverse at the track.

I have stock valve covers + ict brackets and smart coils ain't no room for stickers.

If he asked for on the back glass I might but I'm not going to offer.

HPR is the only 1 I trust. Took awhile to get the motor but it was done right and reasonably priced at the time.

I've had a few friends have really good experiences with LME, and I've hung out with Pecos a few times.

Next thing you know they'll be someone posting something negative about LME. Nice facility with plenty around to over.

Never heard anything bad about LME either. I have a buddy who swears by them. There are pricey, but you get what you pay for. I'm going with Fasttimes though. Hell, I'll even rock the sticker. Lol

I talked to him last week. We're going to go with a dart 427, dart billet crank, dyers rods and wiesco pistons for my daily driver.
