I'm in that field now. I know they make them smaller/more sensitive, but the post just struck a nerve and I cracked up.

There are some good reasons not to in SD, and of course there’s more than one way to skin a cat...

- The torque model stays in tact and isn't artificially skewed, not as important with older computers but much more important in later ones
- The PCM doesn't try to add more fuel if meth doesn't hit the IAT showing an artificially cold reading
- You also don't have to pull out as much fuel out of the main tune to compensate for the meth hitting the IAT so if something happens you don't go as lean
