Default Need recommendation for cam - ls3 supercharged

Wanting a moderately aggressive stage 2 type cam to go with LS3 + maggie 2650. Been searching around it seems to come down to Texas Speed or BTR.

Is the 641"/.649" lift of the Texas Speed stage 2 considered pretty high? Compared to the BTR having only .614"/.592". I cant really decide, I guess it might not matter one way or another but figured I would ask.

edit: a little more info. going in 70 Nova with t56. Weekend car for cruising, maybe go to a drag strip once in a while. Not a race car.

LS3 + TVS2650 in a '70 Nova with a manny tranny equals a whole lot of fun. I'm jealous! For a cam I'd do a custom Cam Motion 226/240 116+3 with .620 lift on the intake and .600 on the exhaust. At 1 degree of overlap, it should be tunable for near perfect manners. It will have a bit of a nasty idle but shouldn't lope a lot. Just know that how fast you spin the blower is going to have WAY more effect on power vs how big of a cam you use.

And yeah, I'd be more conservative on the lift than that Tx Speed cam.

I'm really enjoying the Brute Speed Forced Induction cam in my current S484 setup, has a killer lope at idle, very little valve noise and has lift low enough that it shouldn't kill valve springs.

Thanks for that info. Custom... sounds interesting. The guys at Cam Motion recommended me their 232/246 118+4 with .621"/.604". I was debating on that one or the one they offer thats slightly less aggressive at 228/242 118+4 with .604"/.587". However I am not sure if Cam Motion will ship to California, so i may just go with the BTR. Bottom line is I am not that well versed on the exact differences in these profiles, so dont have a reason to choose one over another.

As long as you pick a grind that is specific to a PD blower you'll be fine, at least once a week a turbo guy gets on here asking for cam recommendations and gets the phone book.
Unless you're building for max effort, any cam ground for a PD blower will work, then it just boils down to how radical you want to get.
If it were me I'd go a bit mild to aid drivability, keep the lift lower to preserve valve spring life and valve noise/wear, its gonna make power, you can count on that.

Yeah I think I will just go with the BTR stage 2 and call it a day.

Brian Tooley is a great guy, give him a shout and ask him, if you're buying his product he'd be happy to steer you in the right direction.
I mean he'd be happy either way but if you're gonna ask his input then buy someone else's product that's kinda shitty lol. ; )

Not a fan of the really wide LSA blower cams. If you want a "shelf" cam, look at the BTR PDS stage 3 torque cam. That's not far away from the cam I suggested earlier. I've had two TVS blown LS3's in C6 Vettes. I used narrower LSA blower cams in both. Both would accelerate pretty damn good even out of boost. For a really broad power band, both in and out of boost, tighten up that LSA a bit.
