On my last 5.3 I reused the original head bolts and it saw 18ish psi, enough to ‘shorten’ a rod about .010 without hurting any pistons or hurting the head gasket, also went through 2 driveshafts and 2 transmissions ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

motor was converted to 1/2” studs when I had it out to switch from manual trans to automatic, so I’m following the internet rules now
