363 Advice

Looking for input on anyone that has ran a 5.3 363 3.800 bore and how it was compared to the standard 5.3. I have a few blocks and was wanting to know the benefits or downside of using this combination with a borg s480. Really would like on hands thoughts of one versus the other as I have been using the 5.3 for a few years now and would like to know if they are in a happy spot running up to 20lbs. TIA

Don't really see the need for it. You won't have any issue spooling that turbo with 325" when set up correctly. Downside is the bigger crank is not a strong as the factory 3.622 crank. More cubes just means you're pushing the turbine harder and may run into the wall there faster.

I would keep the over bore minimal.

Agree. 363 is a 3.800 bore with 4" crank. I just don't really see the need for a "stroker" in a turbo set up unless you care more about spool than total potential.
