I could be in one about 5400 ready to go which would be awesome. I'm limiting myself on fuel to about 650 horse(using a zl1 fuel pump) so it would complement it nicely

Having had both, go turbo and don’t look back. Knowing what I know now, I’d do a 1.9L LSA before I did a 2.9 Whipple again.
Overall the 2.9 was pretty underwhelming power wise and the belt issues with their brackets and tensioner setups are maddening. I went from a 434” LS7 with a maxxed out 2.9 on it to a 325” 5.3 with an S484. Ended up over 13mph faster, almost a full second quicker and infinitely more reliable.
