What do you use to tell how much tension you've set? I see the marks on the tensioner 10,15,20, but what do I use as a reference against them? The trailing edge of the tensioner that's painted red?

You line up the two yellow marks, you will see when you look at it, where ever that yellow mark is at w/the belt on, that is your tension, mine is at 12 right now

There is an edge that's painted that should line up with those numbers. You have to preset some load. I put 7 on there. then when you put the belt on it should load the pully even further. With a 3.7 pully mine is set at 15 on the nose when the belt is loaded.

i would ask sd but I think there is no need.
the car with my old setup we set it to 15 and zero slip.
i believe this to be the case with pretty much everyone using the setup.
there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. my guess will be they will say your unecessarily stressing the spring in the tensioner and back it off.
