In some way twins are easier. There's no crossover pipe. And each downpipe can be smaller than a single huge downpipe which might be tougher to fit. There are various calculations you can do for sizing, just size each turbo for half your engine (so 200 ci I4).
I did the math and got 67ish mm turbo, which is pretty much the most common size that small block chevy / ford / LSx run when doing twins. Also for power steering, you might want to go to an electric volvo pump. Then you can mount it anywhere.

I've got a .010 over 6.0, 10:0-1 compression, AFR 230 with softened chambers & run 93(setup for e85), twin s369's, 3.5" exhaust over the axle. Haven't been to the track in years but street drive often
when it's not apart to change things. With the large garrett a2a setup from a roll & fuel/timing tables not dialed in it has 1psi when it goes WOT & 10psi in 1 second, 15psi at 1.5ish seconds.
Transbrake it was making 4psi in just over 1 second. Changed to a2w setup but haven't finished it.

Im going twins. I ve already test fit some 3.5" od pipe thru the exact area you re referencing. It fits. I ve seen tighter. But for good measure, this is why im limiting myself to a 3" down pipe. In the turbo world, I ve got a texas mile. I ll get it thru there. Likely without even building a pie cut super elbow. I dont wanna do a big single because of all the extra hotside fabwork it ll require. I ve mapped out a pretty decent build path sofar. Size of turbos will make or break me, but i ve got this. I think. Im somewhat mechanically inclined from doing hvac work for 20+ years. Prolly gunna build it all, tack it together, than bring it to fab shop to get welded up in proper. Going back n forth with Andrew and Reid, i think I mite give a couple of these turbos a try. What do ya s think?

Instant BOOST
Hi RUKO, YES I AGREE two "Waste Gates AND two BOV.
This was NOT my comment for ONE Gate.
AS YOU READ, stated a method to ALLOW ALL the Exhaust to flow into ONE turbo first then "gated" into the 2nd.

Something to think about, most of the AGP Gen5 Camaro kits out there with 54/57's making 7-800whp on their base kit. The size of turbo you went with I hope still gets into it's efficiency area on the map to only make the 8-900whp you are after. The .82 AR should respond well on spool up with 40x ci. Based on the turbine 3" DP's would work but a 3.25" would follow the 125% rule. Being you are not trying to make all the horsepower and probably have a fun driver the 3" would be more than adequate.

Dont know if your set on the turbosmart turbos, but these guys have been modifying Garrett turbos for years and have some super high quality turbos. Very popular in the evo and import scene:

Lotsa odd sizes and didnt see any reverse rotation turbos in that line up. Im not set on em yet. The gentlemen we were working with back peddling on the qoute🙄. I called n spoke to VSR today. They suggesting their 67/66 dual ball bearing turbos w/t4. Id like to discuss the BW with somebody competent. We havent picked a cam, CR, or converter yet. So that seems to be a general thought at this time. Im not worried to much, ER knows his stuff. Everything is a "what can we get away with choice" lol.

With 400+ cubes there's a lot more you can do.
A local guy here was running twin S476R's on a 427 and made I wanna say 1,400whp with them.
You can't pick the cam or converter until you know which turbos you're going to use.
I don't mind a little lag in my turbos, gives the car time to get moving before the boost rolls in.
I've had cars with small turbos that light off really quick and it can be kind of annoying especially if you're traction limited.

Well. I orderd up my turbos, wg s and bov s today. Unfortunately, alot of turbos that fit the bill werent available in reverse rotation and standard. Some that were, are to big, etc. So what we ended up with are the TurboSmart TS-1 64/66, TS wg s and bov s. Stay tuned. Gunna enjoy my car NA for the summer and keep stockpiling parts. Got alotta little things to buy. Including another 4l80e, tq converter, etc
