Meth Tanks?
Question for those of you running methanol ... does anyone use a tank other than the washer fluid?
Here's why I'm asking. The WS6 is a weekend toy. Currently the washer fluid tank is my meth tank, and it evaporates out fairly quickly. I've been looking at meth kits online that come with an external tank, and they all seem to say 50/50 max mix. I'm running straight meth as the tuner said not to run 50/50. I don't mind topping of the tank, and I check it every time I drive the car. But it would be nice to have a smaller tank that's easier to see the level and less meth to add to know it's full.
As always ... thanks!

i just ordered an xj cherokee coolant expansion tank to hold methanol in a c5. imo putting straight meth into the washer reservoir is hazardous, especially plugging the pump hole somehow.
(btw, i understant even a 2/3 water - 1/3 meth mixture will still burn.)

Any poly tank will work well. In my early days I even used a standard 2.5g plastic fuel can. Held up just fine to 100% methanol. Don't need to pay "kit prices" for a compatible meth tank IMO. Lawn mower fuel tanks also work well.
I always liked large tanks. I've used this one several times and I really like it. It has a sump and has a huge lid that's easy to add fluid to and clean. Many run ice this way too.

Years ago I used the w/w fluid tank for my first meth kit. Only took a few days for pure meth to eat the pump seals and leak all over my garage floor. Of course I was attempting to leave the washer tank and pump in a usable state for its original purpose as well as being a meth reservoir. That total failure led me to immediately install a separate tank.
