Default All aster bracket users please stand up .

So i burned up the lower standoff , the small spacer and the pulley. So i had to pony up 520 bucks for a used bracket with pullies . Well im in the process of trying to find a machine shop to make the hex standoff, the spacer and the idler pulley . Well ive been told by a family friend who does some machine work that the ider pulley is hardened aluminum and he cant make it . I will try a real machine shop next once i get them parts back but this is turning into a pita.

The maker chris oldenhouse wont return texts or calls or emails or fb messages. So that's no help . What have you guys done . I don't want to switch over to the new procharger hd bracket besides the cost the headache or setting up this new bracket and figuring out belt and pulley combos has my head spinning .

Does anyone have a hookup on having stuff machined ?

I eliminated all that stuff and installed a hex standoff and some shims. I burned that little idler pulley twice and got advice from another member on here to eliminate it. So I did. 15psi no problem. 8.65CBR and a 4.25 blower pulley.

Oh wow that's a great idea and it does work since your using it. I'm using a 8.65 crank and 3.9 pulley. Did your belt length change? Or did you have to move the larger idler to take up slack

Also do you know of a 2.75 inch hex standoff. All the spare standoffs I have are 2.5 inches.

Yes, it works great for me. Zero issues. I honestly cant remember about the belt. I believe I had to change it. I know I didn't change the idler pulley.
You can buy aluminum Hex standoffs from McMaster Carr very cheap. You will probably have to drill and tap it which wouldn't be that difficult.

Yeah I burned up a few of those small idler bearings but never the actual standoff. I know you don't want to hear it but the money and headaches you have into this you'd better off with the new bracket, thats where I ended up going.

so i got a 2.75 inch hex from bob at brute speed and then got a belt that was a 52.5 from a 53.7 and moved the idler over 1 spot and the belt is great . So fingers crossed this works. Anyone want to make the other custom parts that are involved with this

Also the billet 8 rib pulley on the tensioner is that off the shelf or custom too.
