Very interesting video. With the pure meth they ran enough to put the AF at 9.5:1 on a gas scale, and while down a lot on peak power, it still carried past peak nicely. Two things I found notable was that their base fuel was already e85, and they said they were running a very conservative spark map for that before even adding any water or meth injection. Nice data overall, but as with any test I can think of a lot more parameters to vary for a more complete wish list of a data set. I would love to see if the results are similar with straight gasoline, or with something closer to ideal base timing for the e85. Of course it is easy to wish for more data on someone else's time and dime.
Test and tune last night got cancelled but they allowed testing between rounds today during their first bracket series points race.
The wife and I decided if we beat last weeks 6.45 on the first pass we would call it a day and if not we would make 1-2 more passes.
Well first pass was 6.35 she was on a run but started spinning after 330’ and around 550’-600’ the rear stepped out pretty good so I lifted. Log shows I was at 113-114 mph when I lifted.
We plan to go back next Friday for a regular test and tune. 6.2x or better should come easy just got to get this 4000 pounder to 60’ and for the track to be there for us.
