Oil change interval for Daily-Drivers in Boost.
I've been using Lucas 20w50 for the last couple years now and my oil pressure is always consistent regardless of how much I'm beating on it. I usually change it out a couple times in the year and definitely before it goes to bed for winter
It would be impossible to get right and would just mangle the hell out of it, plus my buddy's wife has an SS that the hood got damaged, so I sold it to him super cheap lol.
I factory V6 car hood would work but I'll probably end up getting a Sonoco style cowl hood eventually.
Changing your oil that often would be equivalent to changing your underpants 3 to 5 times a day for no reason. Except for oil is more expensive, takes more time to change, and is environmentally problematic to dispose of. Unless you are running pre 1990's Quaker State, no oil is bad enough to need changing that frequently.
I use the oil monitor in my other vehicles to determine when to change it since I don't drive them frequently, so I always hit the date way before the mileage.
I was specifically referring to the post I quoted that said changes should be that frequent on everything.
