I just picked up a 1973 Nova to swap my 5.3l and 4l80e into. The engine has the BTR / LJMS Stage 2 cam and supporting valve train. Rings gapped for boost. It was in my 4th Gen with HSP V1 Turbo kit.
My goals for the car are 500-600whp on pump gas.
I am looking to put my Precision 7675 CEA on it. Has anyone found a hot side that works with minimal effort? Hooker?
What about swap mounts? I was thinking about the Hooker / Holley mounts.
I have heard there are better mounts out there, but them offering it as a kit makes it seem like you'd have better luck with the engine and trans mounting being in the correct location.
We could run a setup like that on a 4th gen but I think it won't fit in a 67-74 Nova/Camaro. I'm running truck spacing for accessories so F-Body spacing would tuck in a bit more but even with my engine set back an inch you can see it gets tight, and I have a Rhodes core support too.
i used ICT plates with moroso solid mounts and pads.
Vbanded truck manifolds and 2.25 SS tube much like Johns photo above with the exception of the small pipe using 1000 pie cuts or should say death by 1000 cuts. Never again.
My Nova manifolds look just like John’s.
I used Corvette spacing on the accessory drive. But used the Holley PS/ALT bracket.
Novas are pretty flat in the front.

That reminds me, there is a guy in PA who has built to order 68-74 Nova LS turbo kits: John Potucek

I think this is the route I am going.
I am not a great fabricator so something like the hot side is not in my wheelhouse. I want to keep momentum going on this project once I start and I think his solution being bolt in will help with this.
