I have a pre-supercharger methanol injection CIP on a switch that I turn on on hot days. It doesn’t do much for power (have the Dyno comparison around here somewhere). It does notably cool the charge, but it also displaces air/O2 which counteracts the cooling effect. Its more for just cleaning the inlet of the S/C at this point.
People have also used an actual injector or two in the intake without an intercooler. It was even talked about on a street outlaws episode because they were doing it. An actual injector is going to need an aftermarket ecu or controller of some sort where a typical meth nozzle does not.
