Default First no prep event and it went well Video

The draggy died so I didn't get any metrics other than just looking at data logs but I fought through 4 rounds to get to the final and actually won. In this class they allowed AWD cars so I was kind of worried I wouldn't make it even 1 round as I've never even tried with this car before. Being a backside no-prep event a Corvette isn't the best choice being IRS and not really being able to weigh it down in the rear but it worked well enough I suppose. There was an AWD Audi, Tesla Plaid, and a couple of others until this final race with an AWD TT F150. It was definitely fun, probably more fun than front side stuff just with the challenge of it. Learned a lot, will definitely be faster next time too.

Anytime you can knock one of those obnoxious AWD F150's d@$k in the dirt its good win.
Got'em on the light and walked him the whole way, nicely done!

Yeah I was pretty nervous about racing the F150 as I've seen those things haul some serious ***. Slicks on all 4 corners, twins, all of the usual stuff that goes into them now a days and they really move out. I've just got no frame of reference at all from inside the car but I was crossing the line doing ~142 mph.

Well and to go out there blind with no testing and win is proof positive your car is set up killer.
AWD cars/trucks are just lazy to me and unimpressive in my personal opinion. If you stick a 10.5" slick on all four tires its gonna hook combine that with a ten-speed auto of course it'll be quick.

It was definitely a learning curve with the no prep stuff, especially in this car. Boost control isn't the greatest with bad wastegate priority, 15 psi springs, no CO2, etc so I had to build some tables in the MoTeC to tame it down and get it down the track but it worked. Guarantee next time out it's going to go even faster.

I did get as screen grab from one of the cars that I raced, obviously it's not going to be 100% accurate since it depends on if we left at the same time, slight delay in the timer starting, etc but it gives a good idea as to what it could be around.

Also put together a video of all 4 of the runs I made in the event.

I'm hoping the traction control feature in the Haltech will really help me with this style of low traction racing.

It will for sure but it's only as good as the person behind the keyboard. It's infinitely configurable and it's up to whoever is tuning it to build out the tables properly/effectively. I will say this in a very generic form, you want to start with ignition retard and move onto cylinder cuts after that. When to start and at what slip percentage, how much retard, how quickly to add it back, when to transition to cuts, etc is all up to you. Analyzing the data properly and knowing what to change and how much is the hard part and that's going to take a seasoned tuner for sure.

The car filming is an AWD car, but I suppose I was next to him on the launch. The biggie is that with everybody doing water burnouts the starting line was getting pretty tacky towards the end of the night, so I was making adjustments per run to really tailor it to the surface. Of course that lasted for all of 20-30 ft or so and then it was much more bare.
