I got boost creep pretty bad a few years back. I finally capped off the poorly placed single 44mm gate piping and added another.
Put them both in a straight on "priority" spot on each side and haven't had a boost creep issue since.

As you can see, one had to be almost looped, to clear the IC pipe.

Unfortunately, I dont have any room to mount a wastegate on the passenger side of the pipe due to how my dump pipe and exhaust pipe are routed, and I can't afford to completely redo the exhaust. I'm just going to add a wastegate on the driver's side in a priority position , as the guy who was selling his turbo kit told me it worked great for him.

I will say, I never had a boost creep issue, it was more the boost was coming in so hard in the midrange that it would overshoot before settling into what I figured was normal. Now that I've torn my engine out, I've found a couple of problems I need to address, mainly the leak around the MAP sensor I found (that's already fixed) and the minor exhaust leaks I found on a few of the ports, which is due to the manifolds being rusted and pitted. I need to surface them somehow.

I'm super late to this party but do you have the room to just cut off the wastegate tube in the pic and add a couple short pieces of pipe and flanges on the straight legs close to the turbo flange?? Or is it too tight??

There's so much going on on the passenger side, I have no room over there. I know just leaving the original wastegate location isn't ideal, but I can't afford to redo everything. It'll have to suffice for now.
