I had to add pic from my cell phone, some reason I cant load pics to my desk top. Anyway, started on this project last year, had a couple operations that slowed me down a bit, but back on it hard now. I welded in a 68-69 rear panel, like the look better, but made it so I can keep the stock larger tank 73-74's have, and sumped it. Changing over the front to a 68-72 style. Running 2 Quantum 380 pumps, more for having one as a backup than needing the extra fuel. Using an alumn intake with 90 deg adapter, 92 mm TB. Holley X Max, Summit ghost cam. Picked up the D1SC Procharger from a friend, For now no IC'er, maybe later. Would have been cheaper to go turbo again, but always like my Prochargers, and not dealing with the exhaust. I stuck an old used 80E trans in, sup to have all gears, I hope, just didn't have time to build one, but will later. Kind of in the David Freiberger mode, don't get it right, just get it running, lol. Hoping to start it up next week, tune is loaded, fuel system tested. Put the vinyl top on Sunday, first time doing one, wasn't too bad, Painting it was a hassle, think I got a bad batch. I tell ya, still doing this at 79 hurts the body, esp. hanging upside down under the dash, lol.

One of my all time favorite cars, had a rusted out 68-69 Nova SS long time ago. Clearly had been raced rear quarters had been radiused to fit more tire. Car looked so bad the city towed it lol.

Decided to try and start it yesterday, still need wiring up fans, etc, but enough just to see if it would run. I used an old tune from a 5.3, turbo, upgraded to V3, 110, changed to 58 rel, had some LS3 decapped injs,
that were cleaned and tested. What could possibly go wrong, lol. I didn't have the LT hooked up, just the 3.5, dam thing fired right up, idled good, looked underneath for leaks, massive oil leak.
When my dumb azz painted the engine, for some reason I didn't have the oil cooler block off plate (above the filter) installed, so I taped over the holes. The tape got painted over, so it didn't get noticed, just kind of blended in, lol. Installed the block off, hooked up the LT, let it run for a few minutes, surprised everything was where I wanted it. Garage floor looks like the Exon Valdez came thru, a lot of clean up, lol.
I usually keep a list of things needed done, scratch them off as I get to them, have to go back to that I guess.

Did some permanent wiring on the fans so I could let the Holley control them now, let it run for over 30 mins, topped off the trans fluid, appears to have all gears, so I'll use it for now. Have a power steering leak, bought a cheap remote res., the return nipple shoots the fluid straight up to the cap, which doesn't have a seal, plus the 5/8 nipple is enough under size it leaks, prob just buy a quality one and be done. Goal has been to have it driving by April 1st., get the bugs out, hit the Ocean City Md cruise end of month.

My goal is to ship a roller to Jim and have him build it in 6 weeks. You are a badass when it comes to putting together cars.
