Looks very well done Jeremy. I can forsee my next mod now. Can you PM me the details of your install as well? How much surface area is blocked by the bumper? Did you have to remove the bumper support?

Ok Ok Back on track fellas
You guys asked for more pics so here they are. It is now mounted completely in the car. All that is left is to cut the bends up, but that will have to wait till tomorrow. I have to watch the lil guy for now

I did this with an outlay $11.83 for supplies(4-8x1.25mm capscrews, lockwashers, washers and a 36inch 1/8in flat piece of steel stock all from homedepot racersupply). I wanted to retain the bumper support somehow and was able too. I am glad I did this cause it saved some money cause I used what I had. Great benefits are I can remove the FMIC anytime I want because it isn't permanetly attached to the car, and the FMIC is mounted SOLIDLY to the car, this thing doesn't budge I have good clearance about 1/2 inch between the back of the FMIC and the washer bottle stuff and great clearance on the sides and the bumper nose fits around the bottom nicely. I might cut the bottom of the nose cover a lil so it will fit tighter than it already does. If I do I will take pics of how it worked out. But it fits nicely and is removable and has lots of room to breathe. Thanks Merlin(frank) for lending a hand this morning(almost lost one to J's grinder of doooom )

So here goes the pics.
*pics removed* Webspace needed for another project.

I used the center brackets that were in the bumper support(cut them out) for the bottom support brackets for the FMIC and welded a length of 1/8 flat steel to them. I then cut two 8inch lengths of flat steel and welded them to the bottom of the bumper support brackets and then to the bottom FMIC brackets(former center bumper support brackets) at an angle. This worked out nicely. When drilling the bolt holes for the FMIC to bolt to, make them a lil big to make sure you can line up all the mounting tabs correctly. Nothing complicated or too hard and went up without a hitch
J

Anytime Jer!

What time are you going to start tommorow morning?

My water pump just arrived so I'll probably get that sucker bolted up this afternoon and finish up in the morning. Won't have it done by the time we go to the track

We need to plug up the open area around the end tanks somehow. To prevent the air from going around the IC.

I am going to start at 10am again. Cutting everything won't be too hard. Glad you got the WP, there is always next friday, we can take em both out

My brother pointed out a good thing too, since I have my fans mounted to the front of the radiator, they will be pulling air through the FMIC too, thus cooling it off faster, sounds like it might work. We can fab up a sheet metal "box" to go around the face of the FMIC to force it to go through, shouldn't be too hard

I dont know about keeping that plate infront of the intercooler. Would like to see a comparison of your IATs with the cover off and on when you get the car running.

Maddboost, no comparision needed because IAT's are not a big factor if I'm putting around town. When I get into the boost it is only at the track or dyno the cover will be off, THE PLATE COVER IS ONLY FOR PROTECTION WHEN DRIVING THE CAR ON THE STREET and when on the street I never do anything besides cruise around, too old and have too much money invested to lose it street racing or doing anything WOT on city streets, the car is loud and cops are everywhere in ALB.

Bos, man that sucks to hear, hopefully it will show up soon. We will have some good info by friday of next week if not sooner. We will be doing the IC pipes in the morning.
