rpm to full boost
rpm to full boost What is the lowest RPM that has to be acheived to reach full boost with most turbo's? Is there a certain RPM that the turbo has to spin to get there? Turbo example maybe a T70 with a .86 . Any turbo that you want to use as an example would be fine, just curious.

too many factors. with a tight stall there will be a longer time but a lower rpm that it will be spooled at. with a loose stall it will spool faster but a higher rpm. more cubes faster spool. small turbo faster spool.
it's all about exhaust flow. you need exhaust to get that thing spining. if i lock my converter and floor it at a low speed i can see 10+psi before 2000rpm but it takes forever. unlocked i see boost full boost by 3500rpm but it happens really fast, like less than 1/2 sec. if i brake stall it(rolling or stoped) can get some boost at 2300rpm and full boost almost instantly when i floor it.

If I nail it at 2000, I hit full boost by 3000 w/ a incon kit w/ twin gt37's
smokes the tires in 1st and 2nd if you dont pedel it.

Thanks for the response, I'm trying to think "outside the box", what rpm does the turbo reach before seeing full boost. Not the engine, the turbo rpm 20,000 for say a T70/.86 If I spun this thing at 30,000 rpm's would it produce 5psi or 10 psi or ??? Basically if I had this on a bench, which I will probably have to do, not running off the exhaust, would I, Could I spin it hard enough to make full boost or even close?

there are compresor maps for that kind of thing, http://www.forcedinductions.com/Tseries.htm . for my set up it looks like the turbo is up to about 70,000rpm right now
