STS Dyno Numbers *Incomplete*
...it was feaking amazing!!! i only took it up to maybe 4500 MAYBE and it took off like it had a rocket strapped to the *** end...never felt anything like it before i really felt it hit at like 3000 or so and the further up the RPM range the more insane it was lol...i am really impressed its a really nice kit. Ray and Matt the guys who did the install for me at performance specialties said they where skeptical and didnt believe it would make any power. When they threw it on the dyno they couldnt believe it plus there was about 2-3 ppl waiting to have there cars worked on watching my dyno runs and they all where saying "WTF that shoudnt do that...thats awesome"
i couldnt be happier just need to work out the surging and the daily driving issues. I drove it down to the movie theater when all the ppl where hanging out outside and slammed on it in 1st let it spool a little then let off so everyone could hear the BOV. EVERYONE outside turned there heads and giving me thumbs up and yelling "holy **** thats awesome that SS has a turbo" it was freakin cool
this thing is SO FAST and so awesome i cant describe it FI RULES
Anyway, congrats. Have fun!!!!!!
Congrats, and watch that tune if you are going above 5psi.
As for the boost gauge billy i think it isnt hooked up or something is wrong with it...one day when its not raining ill have to go WOT again and see about that boost...i really think its doesnt work. Cause there is no way in hell that the runs i made i wasnt making boost...when i let off the gas the BOV was LOUD that right there shows i was making boost doesnt it? and the gauge still read 0 i am pretty sure. I just want to get everything set up and running correctly then its gonna be SWEET
EDIT: you know billy i think your right Ray told me i still am probably bleeding off boost...so i dont think i am running at 7 either. would you be able to tell looking at the dyno chart?? Something is not right here GRRR i really need to call performance specialties and get to the bottom of this

when my car has the power removed the pcm relearns within 15 mins of driving, provided you give it the right driving conditions. Lots of stop and go, upshift/downshift and different speeds and loads. cold starts might be another issue, until the engine runs a minute or two its in open loop.

It's totally awesome seeing peoples faces when you tell em the turbo is in the rear isn't it?

I should have my truck back sometime next week with the bigger turbo and 6.0L heads for much lower compression. My #s wont really compete with yours due to my smaller motor and less power stock but I figure I'll just turn up the boost to 13-14psi and see if I can beat my "old" setup in my sig
We have had some issues with stock vacuum lines popping off. Check over all your lines, that could be the cause of the surging. PM me for specifics.

BTW, I met a guy from tilton this weekend at the ASA race and we spoke about their oil recirculating pumps that are available to use on the turbo. Would it hurt to have a constant psi instead of the two stage that STS uses? They have off the shelf pumps that pump 40 or 60 psi, I believe other pressures are available to from what he was saying. But if they don't have a two stage available I will most likely go with a constant rate pump.
