Default How much boost on pump gas?

Just wondering if you are doing a 9.1:1 motor, how much boost can you get away with SAFELY on pump gas?

Thanks

I would think 12ish, but in reality it will depend on your tuning.

With alky?

I'd say with a FMIC and no alky, probably 650rwhp. I think 700rwhp might be a reach not sure.

An even bigger question is Will it be intercooled?

Intercooled 9:1 and 94 octane fuel can pretty safely be run in the 13/14ish range.

instead of boost yea talk horsepower.. I did 635rw (346ci) on 92 octane.. i agree 650 could be had if you get special with the tune. that was roughly 12psi for me

i did 765rw on 93 and a single alky nozzle 635ml. that was peak 16.4psi

now i have the dual nozzle on the car and will be re dynoing again 19 psi pump/alky.

So you guys are saying you could run around 12psi on a bone stock motor and pump fuel, with an intercooler?

Excuse my ignorance but us brits don’t get big cc V8 like you guys do. That cool any way.

Thanks Chris.

Hmm? I was running 14psi every day on a 9.3:1 comp. motor in the FL heat with absolutly no problems and 16* timing @ tq peak. 20* @ hp peak. This was also on my TTi kit with outrageous back pressure and a inefficent intercooler.

Again, pardon my ignorance, but what is the stock compression ratio of the LS1?

What would be the highest pressure on a bone stock engine with a cooler?

Thanks Chris.

Mightymouse or PSJ !

Ok say 9.1:1, 348ci,Incon with Gen7! Only no NOS or alky! Oh and 55lb injectors and 93pump gas! Can I go 650hp-700hp.

I am thinking the injector is to small! The fuel line and pump will support 1200hp! I will change injectors if it matter! But not just for 50hp!

Thanks, William

i dont think you should hope for more than 650.. that is at the tires..

myturbo, my guess is that you were making a lot of intake pressure sure, but it wasnt getting into the cyl. to make the hp we are talking about.

When are you dynoing? I would love to see what you lay down and run after that.

I'm with MMouse, 650rwhp should be attainable but I think you need 60lb Motrons or maybe those RC Eng. 75's.
