Default Few pics of new custom kit.

Well here's a few pics of the new kit i'm making. Got most the exhaust piping done but I need to wait to get my T76 back from getting freshened up to make the down pipe and the rest of the exhaust. I'm using stock 00 manifolds facing back. 2.5in piping off the manifolds then Y'ing into a single 3in pipe about 14in before the turbo.

Here's some more pics with my old 60-1 mounted up. and where I cut out to tilt the radiator upright some.

What kind of welder are you using? Also, what kind of pipe? Looking good so far, BTW.

Thanks, I'm just using a standard 115V wire feed welder. The piping is mild steel but it's thicker then normal stuff Don't know the gauge but it's about 1/8in thick.

Come to think of it, I seem to remember someone saying that Harlan made his headers by hand... I wonder if he did it this way? I'd like to make a turbo setup for my car, but I'd rather have stainless. Do you know if it's possible to buy pre-bent stainless?

I'll give S.W. a look. What kind of shops would be best to check with? Exhaust and muffler places? Where did you get yours?

all places you can get u-bends in stainless or mild steel. Pro Turbo Kits sells mild steel u-bends at a pretty good price but with steel prices being so volitale, I wouldnt wait long if you are serious about purchasing materials.

Looks nice. Can you still remove it without cutting it apart?

Aftermarket k members do free up a lot of space.

I'm hoping to make around 650rwhp with 13-14psi when it's all done.
All the piping is painted with ceramic header paint that is suppose to be good up to 1200*F, i've had a couple freinds that have used it with good luck so we'll see how it works.

The DP is gonna run under the K-member on the pass side or if I decide to remove the A/C I'll run it through there, but since I live in florida I want to try to keep the A/C.

I was hoping to have it done this week but between huricane charlie and now francis it's really messing with me getting it done. The power was out for a week last time, now this time I expect it to be out atleast the same amount of time if not longer.

I just ordered a set of spal 11in pushers to put in front of the radiator you guys think thats gonna be enough to keep this thing cool.?

Also what do you guys think about intake piping I was planing on running 3in but do you think I should go with somthing else? I have plenty of room for up to at least 4in piping.

I like the setup. But if you are doing that much fab work you should fork the money over for a good 220 amp/gas shielded welder. The burn is so much cleaner and the hold last longer. Looks cool overal.
