Default Anyone running a single fan?

Anyone running a single 16" fan with a procharger? I dont want to use the procharger crappy supplied fan. WOuld a 16" puller without a shroud be alright with the condensor out of the way? 16" fans seem to range from 2000-2600 cfm

dunno if you want to listen to me
but i tried that and in AZ the car would overheat without the A/C in traffic.
putting a shroud on the fan really helps.

another option is the spal dual fans (hint hint), or if you can get them, a mustang single 18 inch ( i think) fan. that is what i have now , but be warned you will have to slice it up heavily to make it fit because it is wider than the radiator and will stick out from the top some.
another trick i used is moving the radiator forward a few inches; you can do that by cutting the small gussets at the corners of the bottom core support ( where the bottom of the radiator sits) and redrill the big locator hole on the right a few inches forward of its current location.
the benifit of this is that it gives you more space in front of the inlet of the blower so you can run a custom hat or bigger fans.

hope this helps

BigBos says he runs a single 16" pusher fan at 2500 cfm without problems on an iron block motor. I would think that a single 16" PULLER would work as well if not better.

I run a single 16" spal, works great, its loud as hell, sometimes it would take over the D-1SC sound, but it gets the job done

I run at 185-190 all year round

make sure it's a quality fan like a spal unit. the only draw back is the noise the single fan produces.

another thing you can do is have one puller and one pusher fan. just locate the pusher fan on the driver side so it pushes the air where the head unit sits ( and the other fan can't reach).
