That's Sweet. Can't get over how shiny the track is, now that is how every track should be prepped......So when are you going to let her rip, I know you still have some left in that Bird

The track wasn't prepped hardly at all. They only glued it once. I will say that the track surface is very nice. But I'd hardly say it was prepped. Considering I was standing on it and my boots barely tacked to the track with the exception of the third pass when they glued it.

Come over here and you will appreciate that prep lol. They call our track the "dirt track" I would KILL for a prep anywhere near what you guys were racing on.....your shoes somewhat stuck to the track too, are they suppose to do that lol DAMN that doesn't happen here
And yes I know Harlans car makes the power to lift em like that with ease....wasn't implying that it was the track, just haven't seen a "prepped" track in a long time.

Time for some wheelie bars! Should be good when you can keep her down.
Why don't you race that car in the Milan races?

Last time we were at Milan they kicked us out and told Harlan to get a chute. He had one and didn't mount it yet. This time we go to Norwalk and chunk up their track. We have the wheelie bars but need to finish making them fit. Do you see a pattern? LOL!

Just a function of time and can't seem to find enough of it!!

Let's just say it was pretty damn impressive to see in person. The car was running great all day and I was expecting a big run for the end of the day. I had moved down the track to get some better footage of the chute and got surprised by the wheel stand on the last run. Hence the problems trying to follow the bouncing ball at full zoom.

The club that we were visiting with at Norwalk was really just there for their own TNT and grudge racing. So the track prep was minimal and not at the sticky level we had a few weeks ago at Norwalk when we got to see the car out for the first time at our club event. Still, that last 60' was pretty nice considering it was the back wheels.

Congrats again to Harlan, Derty and the guys for all their awesome work. We'll be looking forward to the speedy recovery for the M-9 event up at Stanton.

They sell mufflers at Murrays!!!
Derty: NO TIME!!!....Matt works for the general, everybody knows thats just one big picnic! LOL
Get those training wheels on it and come to Milan. Tell them you have the garrett brand roto muffler. You know the chute just has to be there, you don't need to use it. I never pulled it on the blue car because I did not think the zip ties would hold!!!

You weren't there for the worlds longest parachute fabrication project. I think in total it took longer to do that then what it will take to 25.5 my car. And I'm not joking!

Needless to say everyone is excited for Matt's accomplishments. We've put a lot of work into his car and it shows. And since I'm not doing much with my car right now, it's a very refreshing break until next year.

Matt you are such a dumbass!! That chute is to slow the car down at the end of the 1/4....NOT so you can try and launch like a rocket and land by parachute.
Man you are haulin the mail! I am very happy to see your combo coming together. When are you gonna do us an in-car video? I mean if that's too much trouble, we won't mind going for a ride!!!!

To do an in-car video I need to find a plug and play remote camera lens for my Sony camera. I have no idea where to get one though, I also have not really looked for one either. Maybe the guy that did the in-car for Taner can tell me where to get them. I e-mailed him once but he never replied.

I think Dan-ws6transam was planning on bringing his gear to M-9 to do the event DVD again. I haven't heard anything about it recently but I'm sure he'd be up for the in-car pass if the gear makes the trip.
