Apparently the aluminum intake manifold for the Magnacharger Roots Blower has a problem with heat transfer from the Heads, the latest version with the Intercooler (which I have not seen) is suppose to have addressed this.
Makes sense since the stock manifolds are plastic and hence would not have a problem with heat transfer. There are some EPA tests where this issue becomes a showstopper.
Would proper isolation require machining of the manifold to allow for the fitment of a thermal barrier gasket? And what material would be adequate since this manifold has to support a 60HP blower?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
