Exclamation Bi-turbo / Twin turbo LS1 kit

i was just wondering if there is a bolt on kit possibly with a little "dent modification" for twin turbos on a LS1 Z keeping the AC and Cruise control.... just wondering if anyone knew of a company that made one that is installed in the engine compartment, not underneath the fuel tank... and does the kit require cutting the bumper for an intercooler?

Thanks in advance!

Question

there are no other companies that produce them? no one else that you have talked to that can make them?

I am assuming your thought is to make one using truck manifolds turned around? I'm fairly certain that you have to re-locate the Alternator and ditch the AC to go that route... I don't think there would be a huge market for that because if you look, Turbo Tech has a nice race kit out there that requires ditching the AC and they aren't really selling all that well... Where there *would* be a market is a quality twin turbo setup using either cast or header style manifolds that retains AC. Even still, I think it would be a fairly limited market.

Cool

would it really be that hard to recreate this? I think that quite a few would sell if it was all bolt-on and a minor dent mod was only needed.... if somone made if before, i dont see why it cant be done again...

It is not a matter of *if* it can be done... it's a question of *if* someone want's to actually go through the trouble and risk of bringing the product to market. As you can see... there hasn't been a whole lot of success...

If Incon hadn't tried to sell their kit for $4500, and lost their *** in the process......

I don't know what's more impressive.....the fact that I got the kit for $4,500, or the fact that Cartek installed it for $500.

That should have been more like $7,500 total.

44 months and 37,000 miles on kit and still going strong.

Yep, the $4500 price was really a steal, especially when you consider the state of LS1 FI back then. I think that the only kits that were really in wide circulation at the time were the Vortech G-trim kits.

I am going to be building a custom twin or single setup in the next 3-6 months, but even then I am going to be pretty hesitant to sell my Incon stuff. I guess that I will just have to find a cheap f-body to buy, transfer the kit, and then put it into daily driver duty
