Where is it leaking from?
Jeff Creech tuned my car. Hes a hell of a nice guy and really knows what hes doing. I gotta go back after a converter and head swap.

My compression is 8.7. hoping to run around 15lbs on 93 octane, but have no idea what kind of numbers ill put down. Going to switch out the gt67 for 76 after break in and re-tune. I've been trying to figure out what Ill put down. Ive gone with the 75lbs with accelronics driver and a full fuel system. What are you expecting on 93 octane?

I have the kit on my 99 and so far I love it. Still working with the tuning though.

I keep seeing these sub 10 post users posting praise about the STS...I can't help shake the feeling that's just someone who sells the STS trying to sell more.

I'm glad there is a cheapo option for turbo FI, but I would probably stick with a more traditional install where the turbo is in the engine bay. If STS's "put the turbo in the car's ***" idea was so great, I am sure someone would have thought of it by now. It's not that innovative...people have been relocating stuff like oil filters, batteries, fuel tanks, etc for years. I'm sure on more than one occassion someone said "Hey, lets' put the turbo in the trunk"...but it never caught on. I wonder why...

I am not sure what to say anymore about posts like this. They have dyno sheets, they have video's of STS cars/trucks on said Dynos. They have at least 4 videos that I know of GTO's running 1.6 60' times and 10.XX at the 1/4 mile track. There is arguements about efficiency, and most of the STS users would concede that, but when the WG opens on any turbo system that point is moot.

Some people don't like the kit, fine... don't buy it. But for the non believers, it is just an opinion that do not have any facts to discredit the kit.
Not to mention.... the above post is completely .

I have had my kit for almost a year, but because of financial and family problems, I have not been able to finish it . I should be done really soon and then I will CONTRIBUTE to this thread.

If the post is so off-topic, then why are you responding to it? That would make your response off-topic.

"STS Cars and Trucks" running 10s have a little bit more than the STS kit to achieve that level of performance. It's misleading to use those as examples saying "Yeah I can hit 10s for about $4K with an STS kit."

I don't doubt that the STS kit works, but I do think it is being overhyped and portrayed as being better than it really is. If you can hit 10s with just the kit and nothing else done to the rest of your car, CONGRATULATIONS, you have a 10 second STS car. But I see a skewed picture being painted, making the STS look like a bolt-on 10 sec solution when in reality it is not that simple.

Most cars require more than just the FI kit to runs 10s...... stripped out 2800lb race cars with giant slicks don't count either. LOL

It's cool though. Everyone has opinions and they are entitled to them.

I just like it better when someone comes up with excuses that are scientific at least. Calling people names is so 3rd grade...

I bought and love the STS kit. I do not consider myself stupid. I bought the system for 4k. My car makes good power and is problem free. I also love the turbo noises. There are alot of ways to make good power. Different strokes for different folks, some people like nitrous, some like motor, some like forced induction.

I really don't see why you feel the need to call STS owners stupid. If you really feel the need to trash on others why dont you rip all the people that paid money for a Mustang.

Or a P1-SC since that "base kit" is MORE expensive and does not perform as well when you do a kit vs kit.

If the post is so off-topic, then why are you responding to it? That would make your response off-topic.
I made a response to someone that IS NOT an owner of an STS kit that has no business being in this thread. Look at the original post and look what he is asking. Learn some forum etiquette.
And here... let me help you take your head out of your A$$. Start your own thread.

This thread was totally reasonable until you came in here and stirred up ****. You are the one that does not belong. No one has "over hyped" it. In fact, I encourage people that have OWNED a STS system and that have had any problems with it to post it. We can learn from it.
You’re the one that said that it isn't a performer. Or that you doubt the sincerity. We have proved you wrong.
Now move along... nothing for you to see (or say) here. Not unless you plan on purchasing an STS kit and QUALIFY your argument.

I thought not. Good day sir.

Actually, if you read what I said, I was saying that I thought STS kits were:
a) A dumb idea.
b) Not as good as they are portrayed here on the forums.

I never said they were not "performers", or that they did not produce some kind of results. I am merely stating that I do not like the idea of a rear mounted turbo.

Do you think if you fart into your STS charge pipe, it will make more HP? Perhaps get you into 10s? You know that methane injection is an option for the kit. That must be what gives it the edge...cuz it seems like most people who like STS are fulla sheeeeyt. hahaha

And again... we are shown your age.
Do you own an STS?
Have you owned an STS?

Then and get the hell out of this thread.
You are the one being rude and your "OPINION" is not warranted or wanted.

Stay out of this thread. PLEASE...

How about you take a ride down to San Fran...you sound like someone who wants a little forced induction up the ***.

Here we go... another keyboard tough guy. Whats a matter? Mommy didn't play enough with you while you were groing up? Or did she play too much with you?

You seem to have a fixation with things up the rear. Did you drop the soap too many times with daddy?

Your internet keyboard ***** do not impress me little man. Take them out of your mouth.

You were asked to stay out nicely. Start a new thread if you want. Slam STS all you want in it. You had no reason whatsever to post in this thread other than to start ****.

Admins... please just erase all the babble and leave the thread. It was honestly one of the first STS threads that made it to page 3 before someone had to go and screw with it.

Thanks.

Let it go Paul... He's shown himself to be a tool and now everyone knows it so his arguements are nowreduced to nothing but idiotic blabber.... Take the high road my friend

I agree with ya Paul. I also ebcourage people to post up with problems they have had with ANY kit they purchase. It helps us all learn from the experience and might save folks money farther down the road.

F8L, I hear ya. I am sooooo tired of our threads being locked, seems almost prejudice.
I get it that people will not like the kit. It IS unconventional.
It has done FAR better than many of the nay sayers said it would.
You know, I give props to other systems, other people and their cars.
I am happy that their are other budget systems out there.
It only means good things for us as consumers.
Why does STS get soooo much hate?
