Blower pulleys hurt reliability?

Blower pulleys hurt reliability? I was wondering if going to a smaller pulley would hurt an engines reliability at all? I have the series II 3800 and I could get a pulley for it but it's got 102K miles and I dont want to shorten its remaining life. Runs fantastic now but I want it to stay that way.Anyone know anything about the pulleys? I'm pretty sure that the stock blower pushes 7.5 psi, I may be lucky to get 8 with my filter.

You can up the boost. The 3.8 will take a lot of abuse. Check the zzperformance site, and the intenseracing site for more info. Also the firebirdv6 site.

But I think you can pulley it a bit but it I'm not sure if your compression is the same as a GTP.

just remember more pressure is more pressure. I had no issues until I changed pullies and then suddenly oil was coming out any hole it could find. I had to vent the crankcase more. You should be ok though, just food for thought
