I have Bosch 420L pump, -8 line to speed inc rails, -8 line to the factory filter feed for return. Question about the 420l pump it makes some wierd noise. some times its loud some time its quiet. sometimes it fluctuates and cant make up its mind on how loud it wants to be. It get loud were it hurts my ears and quiet were you cant even hear it. but hold presure still. is it a defective pump? or something i may have done wrong?

Yea, its picking up air, my fuel gauge didn't work and I didn't know it, but my pump was getting loud as hell......figured out that I was almost out of gas, if I'm anywhere lower than 1/4 tank it starts to get loud with me.......its bad going around corners only.....

My attitude when picked fuel system parts last year was to get all the parts I thought I would need to support 700-800 crank hp.

I went with the sheetmetal gas tank because in the past I had problems with intank stuff and I got frustrated.

I have been running the same fuel pump as Harlan, but it's too loud for the street so it's for sale.

CAS Aluminum Drag Tank w/ vent fitting
-12AN from sump to Product Engineering PE4550 1175hp Continuous Duty Street Fuel Pump
-8AN return to tank off of fuel pump
-10AN from fuel pump to Aeromotive 2x -8AN Y-block
-8AN to each LT1 factory fuel rail
-6AN off each rail to Aeromotive boost-referenced regulator
-8AN return to tank from regulator

stock 98 tank, modified bracket for -8 bulkhead
russel y block after each of 2 walbro 340's.
-8 line to -8 speed inc filter to -8 line to back of fuel rail
-8 crossover to other rail, -6 elbow for pressure gauge
-6 line to CAS regulator mounted on top of stock pressure hard tube
stock pressure line all the way to the tank. stock return line removed and plugged.

mototron 60# made it to dyno in sig. looking for more injector now

no its not harder, the dfi has a switch that you flip one way or the other. if it was static the injectors would not go as far hp wise.

if you are on stock computer it is easier because instead of having the ifr on a slope it is the same number all the way across.

96# injectors

Ran the car at 40 psi base, but ran out of injector at 20 psi boost. Upped the fuel pressure to 60 base, rescaled the injector table, but now I'm out at 23 psi Spinning it to 8K RPM you've only got 15ms of inject time, and the 96's just can't do it.

My 160's are freshly flowed and waiting for me to pick up at Kinsler, they left me a message today
Same as mine but I have -8 return back to the tank,And a weldon 2015 with 55lb injectors. I have the feeling that the pump and injectors will be changed as sone as we dyno it!
